For MP3 downloads and streams, please visit our Soundclick page: Jim-n-Lisa Music Downloads Do NOT try to "open" the flac files when you are given the option. Download them first, then play them from your hard drive. You may need to Rt. Click and choose "save as..." Here's a direct link to a better (192k) mp3 than available on Soundclick:
At least TRY to be a hoopy frood and become a part of Towel Day! (That's actually a black towel with 42 in slightly more reflective black.)
Older recordings and mixes Leave Me Alone - Acoustic, folksy. Lisa sings this one. Slow Saxy Blues - Instrumental blues. I record rough songs for practicing with. I liked this one well enough to share it. Hangin' On - Synth based rock Dicketyda - Instrumental. Sort of a new-agey thing. It has been compared to Frank Zappa's "Hot Rats" period. Trance-in-tent-ial Journey - New age space jazz instrumental Absent Friends - A dirge or maybe a ray of solace in a time of loss.

After decades of struggling with the stench of the rotting corpse of the music business, ... I QUIT! I am no longer trying to maintain the illusion that I will ever earn money from my recordings. There is simply no demand for the huge supply of indie recordings on the web. No matter how good the song, the music, or the recording, the general listening public has declared recorded music to have no value. Not only is it not worth buying, it is apparently not even worth the time it takes to download the file. So why are YOU here? You gonna read this, then leave without listening? Fine, go away. You see, I have nothing to gain so I really don't care. In fact, this site costs me money and if enough of you don't listen, I'll just shut it down and save a few bucks. Listen or don't listen, ...whatever. Most web sites that offer free music have some kind of offer to make. They'll let you download an mp3 and try to sell you a CD or a higher quality download or something. The song links here are for 16 bit FLAC files. (full versions, no gimmicks) I was never a musician who did it for the money or fame or girls. I guess I am an "artist" and as such the only thing I really care about is the music and having some kind of audience for my efforts. If I have to live my entire life on the edge of poverty to afford my "art," so be it. It's not the road I would have chosen for myself a lifetime ago, but it's the road I find myself traveling. I have watched dozens of my peers who write much more "commercially viable" music than I, work very hard for many years to no avail trying to earn some small pittance from digital downloads and CD sales. I am tired of the battle and just want my work to be heard, so here it is in full CD quality. I hope you like it. (if you even bother to listen, that is ;-) ) -Jim |
